Welcome to dinners at Feast. The idea behind these meals is to celebrate the communal satisfaction of eating. To summon a slower approach to the dinner hour that enables us to savor the meal and revel in conversation. We look forward to preparing our meals with seasonal ingredients that bring to light some of our area's finest products. Feast constantly tries to promote the work of our local fishermen, farmers, ranchers, cheese makers and bakers. We hope these meals serve as a showcase for these products.
As well, it is a venue for Claudine & me to entertain the way we take pleasure in at home. In the past, we delighted in bringing together friends from different aspects of our lives in a melting pot where good food and drink were some of the main ingredients. Good times were (usually) not too far into the evening with this recipe for conviviality and we hope to emulate the spirit of some of those meals at Feast. We want our guests to enjoy each other's company as much as the food and hope the dinners offer the opportunity for people to make new connections, strengthen existing ones and bask in the warmth of good company.
HOW IT WORKS
Our farmhouse table seats only 12 people, so choose a date (or two) that works for you and 11 friends. Call or email us with your date and we will confirm or attempt to reschedule on the next available date. Drew will return your call to go over menu ideas. The dinners are a five course feast including an amuse-bouche to begin the evening, followed by a soup or salad, then a pasta course. The fourth course is the entree and the feast is finished with dessert and coffee. Please remember that we are not a restaurant and will make an effort to accommodate special needs, however the menu is meant to be as local & seasonal as possible. The fee to reserve the table is $900.00 (or $75.00 per person if you fill it). This includes the dinner, coffee and water service and sales tax, but not gratuity. That's all you need to do. Feast will take care of candles and floral décor for the room. We can also pass along the menu to Steve at Shore Discount Liquors who can recommend wines to match, and then deliver them to the store.
